Taylor Mickiewicz is a contemporary impressionist painter based in Tahoe City, California. Her work explores the emotional resonance of place; expansive water, shorelines, boats moving through summer light, beloved still lifes, and the memory-rich landscapes that shape a life. Rooted in a refined, modern painterly style, Taylor blends expressive brushwork with calm, harmonious color palettes that bring warmth, nostalgia, and a sense of lived-in luxury to the spaces they inhabit.

Alongside her studio practice, Taylor is a dedicated occupational therapist and certified hand therapist. Her background in OT informs her art in subtle but meaningful ways: a deep appreciation for meaningful activity, an understanding of how environment influences well-being, and a belief in creativity as a restorative, human-centered practice. Painting is one of her own cherished occupations; an intentional space for reflection, self-care, and emotional expression.

Taylor returned to painting in 2021 after an eleven-year hiatus devoted to building her career, nurturing her family, and spending time outdoors. She re-entered her practice with renewed clarity and artistic maturity, bringing a sense of reverence and emotional depth to her work.

She studied Studio Arts in Florence, Italy at Studio Arts College International (SACI), and holds a B.A. in Occupational Science with a minor in Studio Arts (2007) and an M.S. in Occupational Therapy (2008) from the University of New Hampshire.
